Painting Description
This artwork draws its inspiration from the poignant history of Loch Ard Gorge, a site marked by the tragic shipwreck of the Loch Ard in 1878. I used a fractured composition to symbolise the destruction wrought by nature's formidable forces. The piece is divided into strips that mirror the rhythmic rise and fall of ocean waves, visually representing the sea's perpetual motion. This fragmentation not only conveys the chaos and destruction of shipwrecks but also pays homage to the rhythmic beauty and relentless energy of the ocean.
