DESCRIPTION
This workshop is all about developing a series of art works based on a theme.
You will learn how to generate ideas, explore possibilities and come up with a cohesive and unified body of work.
The theme will be loosely based around an old farm which we will visit for at least two and a half days to explore .
We will gather information, take photos and sketch.
The days will be spent developing and refining the ideas and producing art works inspired by the initial research.
Although the theme is a farm, the subjects and compositions that you develop from the visits may be very different to what you first expect or envisage. Thats where we get the creativing juices flowing and come up with ideas.
The week is about you exploring a theme and developing work with me as your tutor, guide and advisor. This will make the class structure fluid, as problems and solutions, and ideas will be addressed as they occur.
So come and get creative while enjoying the beautiful Autumn weather in a fascinating setting.
NOTE: In this workshop, you are not limited to watercolour and may use any medium that you choose (except for oils)

WHERE IS YACKANDANDAH?
ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS
Accommodation, travel and meals are at your own expense.
There are two motels in the township - Yackandandah Central (which is very close to my Gallery) and Motel Views Yackandandah. There are several B&B’s in the Yackandandah area including the very close and cosy ‘The Stonebridge Studio’ which features some of my prints :).
For a cabin in a pretty caravan park, you can stay at the Yackandandah Holiday Park.
Nearby Beechworth (about 20 minutes drive) is also an option, with Artscape Cottage being a lovely option - good for arty people.
If you wish to investigate accommodation possibilities, you could simply google. There are places to stay in Albury/Wodonga, Beechworth or Yackandandah.
HAVE QUESTIONS?
Please contact me with any questions you may have.
Once you have booked, start counting the sleeps and book somewhere to stay whilst in Yack!
If you have booked a workshop place, I will email some additional information about the workshop closer to the time, but in the meantime, welcome aboard.
