DESCRIPTION

Have you always wanted to do loose, fresh watercolours, but your work just seems to come out too tight and stagnant.

One of the beautiful qualities of watercolour is the impression of spontanaeity, looseness, freshness and fun that it can give. An overworked and overly tight watercolour can look quite lifeless and not have that spark we look for and enjoy in so many watercolours - that effect that the paint was thrown on and you can see the confidence and joy in the brushwork.

If you are tired of doing tight, lifeless work, this may be the workshop for you. Through a series of carefully designed exercises, I will do my best to bring looseness into your work.

Join me in this fun filled and exhilerating (and at times scary) week. :)

WHO IS IT FOR?

  • For those who want to bring freshness to their work.

  • For those who struggle with being free with their work.

  • For those who are willing to take risks with their work.

  • For those who are willing to try new methods of painting watercolour.

  • For those who want to get out of a rut.

  • For those who are stuck painting detailed and tight work.

  • For those who like to capture the impression of a subject.

WHERE IS YACKANDANDAH?

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Accommodation, travel and meals are at your own expense.

There are two motels in the township - Yackandandah Central (which is very close to my Gallery) and Motel Views Yackandandah.
There are several B&B’s in the Yackandandah area including the very close and cosy “The Stonebridge Studio” which features some of my prints :). For a cabin in a pretty caravan park, you can stay at the Yackandandah Holiday Park.

Nearby Beechworth (about 20 minutes drive) is also an option, with Artscape Cottage being a lovely option - good for arty people.

If you wish to investigate accommodation possibilities, you could simply google. There are places to stay in Albury/Wodonga, Beechworth or Yackandandah.

HAVE QUESTIONS?

Please contact me with any questions you may have.

Once you have booked, start counting the sleeps and book somewhere to stay whilst in Yack!

If you have booked a workshop place, I will email some additional information about the workshop closer to the time, but in the meantime, welcome aboard.

Charles
